Stand Up and Be Counted for Fire Awareness

Entries for the 2010 Fire Awareness Awards are now open.

Nominate someone who has helped to make Victorians safer from fire and be in the running to win a $10,000 grant.

If you know an individual, group or organisation doing great work on:

  • Fire safety
  • Fire awareness
  • Fire prevention
  • Fire response
  • Recovery after fire

…they should visit www.fireawarenessawards.com.au and enter this year’s 2010 Fire Awareness Awards.

A special incentive grant of $2,000 is also on offer for eligible entrants so that great ideas can be turned into reality. With 15 award categories, there is plenty of scope for a range of hard work to be recognised.

Being fire safe and Fire Ready is a partnership between communities, emergency services and the government, with potential entrants all over Victoria.

This is the best chance Victorians have to acknowledge the hard work being done to reduce the number and impact of fire in this State - in the bush, urban areas and in the home.

Applications for the 2010 Fire Awareness Awards close on 20 August 2010.  Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held at the RACV Club in Melbourne on 7 October 2010.
