Responsible Alcohol Victoria has a New Home on the Web

The new Responsible Alcohol Victoria website has been launched, creating easier access to information about the liquor industry.

The liquor industry is a major industry in Victoria. It includes restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, motels, gaming venues, resorts, wineries and packaged liquor retailers.

The new website is based on recommendations from a usability study involving liquor industry representatives. One of the aims of the website is to provide simpler navigation making it easier to find key information.

Other features include interactive Google maps that allow people to find the nearest registered training organisation, liquor licensing accord or designated areas, new frequently asked questions functionality and a step-by-step guide to how to apply for a liquor licence and a new capability to search for liquor licence applications by business name or postcode.

Responsible Alcohol Victoria coordinates and administrators the liquor licensing system, regulates the alcohol industry through risk-based compliance activities and provides guidance across the Victorian Government on alcohol policy reform.

One of the key activities is to assist licensees to achieve increased compliance through the provision of quality education, information, service and support.

Most importantly, Responsible Alcohol Victoria aims to work with a range of stakeholders to ensure a safe and vibrant liquor industry.
