Reward the Heroes of Community Services

Each September the State Government officially launches Child Protection Week in Victoria with the Robin Clark Memorial Awards.

The Robin Clark Memorial Awards recognise excellence in working with children, youth and families and are aimed at volunteers, individuals or groups from community, government, and academic organisations. They are dedicated to the memory of Robin Dennis Clark (1936–2001), a widely respected leader in the field.

Nominations are now open. This is an important opportunity to celebrate and reward the hard-working Victorians who support vulnerable children and families.

There are three awards categories:

  • Making a difference with children, young people and families
  • Inspirational leadership in the field
  • Change the definition of family – foster carers making a difference with children, young people and families.

Winners in each category receive a prize valued at $2,000, and highly commended nominees receive a $1,000 dollar gift voucher.

Minister for Community Services, Mary Wooldridge, will launch Child Protection Week 2011 at the awards ceremony on Tuesday 6 September 2011.
