Victoria’s Events Calendar Goes Mobile
Victorians can now access real time information for events throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria from their smartphone, thanks to a free app from the Victorian Government.
Users can search, find, browse and locate thousands of events including community events, food and wine festivals, and sport throughout Victoria.
Events can be shared with friends and family via Twitter, Facebook or email, as well as map and GPS intergration.
Users looking for inspiration can also shake their smartphone and the app will suggest a random event.
The VicEvents is one of a series of phone apps that will be rolled out across government in the coming months with a focus on improving accessibility to publicly available information.
