Working With Children Check launches Online Service
The introduction of a new online service is making it easier for Working with Children Check cardholders to update their contact and work details.
Almost 654,000 Victorians have passed Working with Children Checks since the introduction of the scheme in 2006.
It’s important cardholders keep their contact details up-to-date so they can be notified of any changes in the status of their card and when it’s time for renewal.
The Department of Justice must be notified of any changes to:
- residential address
- phone numbers
- employer
- voluntary organisation.
Legislation requires cardholders to notify the department within 21 days of any changes to employer or voluntary organisation with financial penalties if a cardholder fails to comply.
The process of updating your details is now quick and easy; either visit the Working with Children Check website or call the Information Line on 1300 652 879 between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
