Surveillance Devices Act Report No 1 2008-2009
The Special Investigations Monitor (SIM) is required by s.30P of the Surveillance Devices Act 1999 (the Act) to inspect the records of the state law enforcement agencies of Victoria authorised under the Act to apply for surveillance device (SD) warrants. The SIM must determine the extent of compliance with the Act by the agency and law enforcement officers of the agency.
