Daily Lists and iPhone app

Lists are generated by courts and tribunals to announce their daily business. Each list is essentially a timetable of all the sittings and matters that are happening in a particular court or tribunal for that day. For comprehensive coverage of Daily Lists in Victoria see the Courts and Tribunals Victoria website.

Daily Lists contain information such as the name of a hearing (Smith vs Jones, for example), the type of hearing (if it’s a civil, criminal or an appeal hearing, for example), what time the hearing is on, the room number and which magistrate or judge will be presiding.

Daily Lists Online

Online lists are usually updated after 4pm on the day before the hearing and they are also published daily in The Age newspaper. Law prohibits the publication of any identifying details for hearings in the Children’s Court, so you’ll need to contact the court directly for sittings information.

To view the Daily Lists online, go to your relevant court or tribunal’s website via the ‘Web Links’ menu on the right.

Some courts also publish other lists and schedules which can be found on their websites.
