Affidavits
An affidavit is a written statement that is confirmed by the oath or affirmation of the party making it before a person authorised to receive affidavits. Affidavits are used in court proceedings and for other purposes authorised by law.
This section provides information about affidavits and:
- those who are authorised to witness affidavits
- hearing impaired people
- the vision impaired or people with reading and writing difficulties
- people under the age of 14
- people of a culturally and linguistically diverse background
- people with a physical disability
- partnerships and incorporated bodies
