Gambling and Racing
In this section you will find information relating to:
- laws governing the provision and conduct of gambling, the licensing of gambling industry participants and the enforcement of licensees' legal obligations

Ministerial responsibility
In Victoria:
- gambling regulation is the responsibility of the Minister for Gaming
- racing regulation and administration is the responsibility of the Minister for Racing.
Regulation of gaming
In Victoria, the day-to-day regulation of gaming is the responsibility of the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation, an independent statutory authority. The Commission issues licences to industry participants including venues and employees, and issues permits to conduct certain forms of gaming including competitions, raffles and bingo. The Commission also enforces probity, transparency, and other requirements as set out in gaming legislation and regulations.
