Evaluation of Self-Exclusion Programs
Released in February 2003, this study researched the effectiveness of self-exclusion programs within Victoria and provided a comparison against programs from other Australian jurisdictions.
The report is divided into two parts. The first part of the report evaluates the self-exclusion programs operating in Victoria in 2002. The second part provides a comprehensive factual description of the self-exclusion programs and harm minimisation policies and strategies in operation in the Australian states and territories.
The report outlines the programs currently operating in clubs, pubs and casinos, considers the international literature and theoretical framework said to support the programs and summarises the researchers' wide ranging consultations, interviews and surveys with stakeholders.
