Responsible Gambling Measures

The Office of Gaming and Racing is responsible for implementing a range of the government's responsible gambling initiatives, to help reduce harm caused by excessive gambling. These include:

• Responsible Gambling Codes of Conduct
• accessibility of gaming machines
• bans on gaming advertising and signage
• cash access at venues
• compulsory training for gaming venue staff
• gaming machine design
• local council input into gaming applications
• loyalty schemes
• player information
• regional caps on gaming machines
