Venue Support Program

The Gambler’s Help Venue Support Program was launched in September 2010 to support individual Victorian gaming venues in building and maintaining responsible gambling environments.

In collaboration with venues, Venue Support Workers assist local venue managers to develop responsible gambling policies and protocols that can support the implementation of Responsible Gambling Codes of Conduct requirements.

Venue Support Workers assist venue staff and managers to identify signs of problem gambling and develop appropriate responses to patrons showing signs of problem gambling.

Venue Support Workers are also available to provide advice on Gambler’s Help services, self-exclusion programs and other support services.

Venue Support Workers do not interact directly with patrons displaying problem gambling signs within the venue and their role does not include assessing venues’ compliance with approved Responsible Gambling Codes of Conduct.
