Mothers and Children Program
This brochure provides information for mothers who wish to have their child live with them in prison.
The Women’s Prisons in Victoria comprise the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre in Deer Park and Tarrengower Prison in Maldon. Both prisons allow preschool children to live with their mother in custody, following a thorough assessment and approval from the Deputy Commissioner, Prisons and Transitional Services.
