The Corrections Victoria Research Strategy and Agenda 2009-2012, is the first of its kind for Corrections Victoria, and reflects the growing importance that research is assuming in Corrections Victoria and the commitment to evidence-based policy development.
The Minister for Corrections requested the Secretary, Department of Justice, to commission an independent investigation into the management and operation of Victoria’s three private prisons.
In February 2001 the Minister for Corrections announced his intention to review the Custodial Community Permit Program. The review panel recommended policy, legislative and operational changes to the program that would promote the safe rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners.
Prison Discipline Regime Review July 2005 is a report to the Commissioner about the Victorian prison system (prison discipline systems), including the relationship between criminal offences and prison discipline offences.
