Volunteer Grants

Emergency services volunteers play a paramount role in protecting Victorian communities when responding to emergencies.

The Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) aims to enhance the capability and safety of local volunteers and provide the state with assets to continue to respond to the increase in significant events such as bushfires, floods and heatwaves.

The VESEP offers grants up to a maximum of $100,000 excluding GST and will contribute $2 for every $1 dollar of funding contributed by the local volunteer group.

The VESEP is open to the following organisations:

  • Australian Coast Guard Association
  • Country Fire Authority
  • Life Saving Victoria
  • Victoria State Emergency Service
  • Other eligible volunteer emergency services groups as defined in the Emergency Management Manual Victoria and the Emergency Management Act 1986.
