Community Consultation
Community consultation provides an important opportunity for individuals and local communities to identify with and participate in government processes, and help shape the law and policies that affect Victorians.
What is consulted on
Community consultations organised by the Department of Justice range from the broad directions for Victorian justice, such as whether Victoria should have its own Human Rights Charter, to reviews of existing laws or regulations, such as dealing with drink spiking or sports betting.
