Initiatives of the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement

In working towards achieving its objectives, the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement(AJA) has made important progress in improving justice outcomes for Koories, through the establishment of a range of initiatives including:

• The Aboriginal Justice Forum
• The Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC) network
• The Local Aboriginal Justice Action Committee (LAJAC) network
• The Koori Courts (Magistrates' Court, Children’s Court and County Court)
• The Koori Recruitment and Career Development Strategy (KRCDS)
• Frontline Youth Initiatives (Community Grants Program)
• Local Justice Worker Program
• Koori Offender Support and Mentoring Program
• Aboriginal Wellbeing Officers and Aboriginal Liaison Officers
• Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place.
