Koori Justice - December 2008

The December 2008 issue of Koori Justice features stories on the Frontline funded Build Ya Life program for Koori youth in Wodonga, the Aboriginal Justice Forum held in Swan Hill in June, and an opinion piece on lateral violence by renowned Koori entertainer and writer Richard Frankland.

Other highlights include the opening of Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place in Yarram and Victoria's first County Koori Court in Morwell, the Mildura Local Indigenous Partnership Project and the anniversary of the hand-back of Lake Condah Reserve in south-west Victoria. We celebrate the winners of the 2008 Indigenous Community Justice Awards, join the Fitzroy Stars for a day and listen to the effects of the National Apology from a community perspective.

Staff member Peter Rotumah, whose musical talents have taken him overseas and provide a platform to campaign about the struggles of Aboriginal people, is also profiled in this edition.
