Koori Justice Awards

The Koori Justice Awards celebrate the achievements of individuals and groups who work to deliver improved justice outcomes for the Koori community.

First established in 2001, the range and quality of nominations each year is testament to the commitment of the Koori community and the Victorian Government to work together to deliver programs under the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement (AJA).

The Koori Justice Awards are held in Victoria at both regional and statewide levels and recognise outstanding organisational or individual achievements:

Regional level awards will be determined by the respective Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC). Winners of regional awards will then be eligible to win a statewide award in one of the following categories:

• Youth Award
• Adult Award
• Elder Award
• Community Justice Partnership
• Employment and Training Innovation
• Cultural Innovation
• Leadership Innovation
• Reconciliation Innovation.
