Working with Children Checks in Other States

Victoria is one of a number of states in Australia to implement a system of checking the suitability of people to undertake child-related work. Visit the websites of the agencies below to find out more about other states’ checking processes.

New South Wales Working with Children Check

The New South Wales Working with Children Check is administered by the Commission for Children and Young People.

Queensland Working with Children Check

The Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian is responsible for Queensland’s Working with Children Check ‘blue card’ scheme.

Western Australia Working with Children Check

The Department for Community Development manages Western Australia’s Working with Children Check, introduced in January 2006.
