Giving False or Misleading Information
Under sections 39(1) of the Working with Children Act 2005, you must not give false or misleading information:
- in, or in relation to, a Working with Children (WWC) Check application
- in connection with a re-assessment of a person’s eligibility to have a WWC Check card.
The maximum penalty for this offence is two years imprisonment, a fine of 240 penalty units which is $26,428.80 for the 2010/11 financial year, or both.
