Indigenous Cadetship Program
The Department of Justice Indigenous Cadetship Program (ICP) is a new initiative of the Koori Recruitment and Career Development Strategy, part of the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement (AJA).
The ICP aims to link Indigenous tertiary students with justice employers in a cadetship arrangement involving full-time study and work experience placements. At the successful completion of their cadetship, the cadet will be offered ongoing employment with the department.
The program is supported by funding from the Commonwealth Government under its National Indigenous Cadetship Project, administered by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
The department will offer a number of cadetships at any one time. Eligibility criteria, guidelines for applying and application forms will be available from this website as cadetship opportunities become available.
To find out more about the Indigenous Cadetship Program please contact the Koori Recruitment and Career Development team by telephoning the Indigenous Issues Unit or emailing krcds@justice.vic.gov.au
