Standard Cost Model Report - Gaming Regulation Amendment Act 2007
The Gambling Regulation Amendment Act 2007 amends the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and reduces the administrative burden on approved gaming venues with a pub licence (hotel gaming venues) by simplifying reporting requirements.
The Standard Cost Model (SCM) measurement analysis conducted by the Office of Gaming and Racing (OGR) estimated that the resulting administrative burden reduction is $422,020 per year. This estimate represents the total cost over 247 hotel gaming venues.
The SCM report for the Gambling Regulation Amendment Act 2007 has been reviewed by the Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission (VCEC). The VCEC found that the administrative burden measurement contained in the SCM report met the requirements of the Victorian Guide to Regulation.
