AFL Legends Help Promote Championship Moves

The AFL Coaches Association's Kevin Sheedy and Danny Frawley are backing the Department of Justice's Championship Moves campaign targeting alcohol related violence.

The video is the latest initiative for the campaign that encourages young males to avoid potentially violent situations when they go out drinking.

The video shows Kevin and Danny looking back at the good times and describing some 'real champ' moments, and ex St Kilda AFL player Michael Roberts dressing up in drag for a good cause.

AFL coaches will be using the video as part of their promotion of Championship Moves when they are holding their Growing the Game information sessions with coaches and players.

While these sessions are all year round, they really kick off once the footy finals are completed. The sessions are Australia wide and reach thousand of players and coaches.

The department’s Your Move and Championship Moves campaigns initially consisted of a two month promotional period which included a multifaceted statewide media buy, promotional activities with the AFL Coaches Association and distribution of promotional material to licensed venues.

Campaign activities for Championship Moves will continue into the warmer months so stay tuned for future updates.
