Fast Forward to the Show
The Victorian Government Fast Forward expo will be featured at this year’s Royal Melbourne Show.
The expo informs and educates the public about initiatives in the four key areas of health and safety, environment, learning and jobs and community.
Fast Forward is an interactive expo, giving show-goers the proverbial remote control and allowing them to program their experience through button choice:
- Rewind - celebrate the state’s history
- Play - learn about current services
- Pause - experience expert talks and entertainment
- Fast Forward - hear about future initiatives.
Children are also encouraged to participate in the expo by building a section of a future city for My Patch My Future City.
The patches created daily will be combined to form a vibrant masterpiece of an imagined Melbourne that may serve as a sign of things to come.
The expo has something for everyone including:
- art workshops and performances presented by members of our multicultural community
- test out the latest technology in schools
- find out how to make your home accessible
- view the new transport plan and major projects underway
- meet emergency services personnel and learn about fire safety in the home
- participate in health and fitness activities.
The Fast Forward Victorian Government expo is open from 10 am – 6 pm from Thursday 17 September – Monday September 21.
