Ethics

This area refers you to a number of agencies - some Department of Justice, some justice-related and some independent - where you will find information about:

• the Department of Justice Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC)
• agencies or commissions which safeguard ethical behaviour in their own professions or monitor lapses on behalf of the community
• agencies, such as the Judicial College, which have a role in keeping the profession up to date with new technologies and scientific advances which may bring new ethical dilemmas
• agencies with processes which can be used in cases where people have a complaint.
