Compliance and Enforcement

The Director of Liquor Licensing (DLL), Victoria Police and the Compliance Directorate have various powers under Victorian liquor laws. These powers allow the monitoring of licensee compliance with their obligation and as appropriate the enforcement of those obligations. 

The Compliance Directorate operates in conjunction with Victoria Police supporting the objectives of the DLL in accordance with the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998.
