Seizing Fake Identification
A licensee can be charged for allowing minors on their licensed premises or supplying alcohol to minors. The only defence for the licensee is if they can prove that they asked for and saw an acceptable evidence of age document indicating that the person is over 18 years.
At some point a licensee may be presented with a fake identification document. For information about what to do when presented with a possible fake identification download the Seizing Fake Identification factsheet.
