Alcohol-Related Harm Study

As part of the review of licence fees and types, the Victoria Government commissioned the Allen Consulting Group to undertake a project to:

  • examine the link between alcohol-related harm and the operation of licensed premises
  • identify and assess models for attributing costs arising from alcohol-related harm to licensed premises through a risk-based licensing fee structure.

The report Alcohol-related Harm and the Operation of Licensed Premises was a key input to the design of the proposed risk-based licensing system.
