Guidelines for Establishing Licensee Forums and Accords

Listed below are some of the benefits of establishing a licensee forum or accord:

• participants show greater acceptance and commitment towards solutions arrived at through a collaborative process
• participants have a clearer understanding of agreed obligations, leading to a higher level of compliance
• the community recognises the efforts of the participants, fostering greater understanding and goodwill
• the process and outcomes can contribute more broadly to overall community health and safety by helping to build positive ongoing working relationships between licensees, police and local authorities.
