Business Registration

Certain people or companies who wish to do business in Victoria are required, by law, to take out a licence or register with the state before they can legally operate. The Business Registration section provides some basic information about which businesses may be required to register or take out a licence, who to contact and any requirements they may need to meet.

Consumer Affairs Victoria, the Business Licensing Authority and the Director of Liquor Licensing are largely responsible for licensing, registration and regulation in the state, and most registration details are available from these three bodies.
