Community Safety Emergency Support Program
The Community Safety Emergency Support Program (CSESP) supports the Victorian Government’s commitment to maintaining well-resourced emergency services and providing local volunteer groups with extra equipment to help them carry out their important work.
This program helps build successful partnerships between volunteers, communities, emergency services agencies and government. It also provides a unique way of recognising the work of local emergency services volunteers serving their communities, by assisting them in the purchase of a wide range of emergency equipment.
The CSESP is a Victorian Government initiative funded through the Community Support Fund, with a commitment of $11 million over four years (2007-08 to 2010-11). The program provides equipment grants for:
- Australian Volunteer Coast Guard (AVCG) Victorian Squadron flotillas
- Country Fire Authority (CFA) brigades
- Life Saving Victoria (LSV) clubs
- Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) units
- Other eligible emergency services volunteer groups.
