Intervention Order Statistics - Magistrates' and Children's Courts: 1998-99 - 2002-03 Part 1

This report presents statistics on complaints for intervention orders that were finalised in the Magistrates' Court and Children's Court over the 1998-99 - 2002-03 period. It includes data on:

  • the outcomes of complaints
  • ages and sexes of aggrieved persons and defendants
  • charges for breach of an intervention order.

Part 1, includes Chapters 1 - 7 which cover the following areas:

  • All Complaints for an Intervention Order finalised under the Crimes (Family Violence) Act 1987 and the Crimes Act 1958
  • Complaints for an Intervention Order under the Crimes (Family Violence) Act 1987
  • Complaints for an Intervention Order pursuant to the Crimes Act 1958
  • Applications to Extend an Intervention Order
  • Applications to Vary an Intervention Order
  • Applications to Revoke an Intervention Order
  • Offence of Breach of an Intervention Order, Section 22 Crimes (Family Violence) Act 1987.
