2009-10 Graffiti Grants Applications NOW OPEN

Applications for grants open Monday 17 August and close Friday 9 October 2009 (extended from 25 September).

The 2009–10 Graffiti Clean-up Community Grants (also known as the Graffiti Grants) will contribute to the clean-up of graffiti in local communities with non-recurrent grants to local councils of between $5,000 and $25,000.  The program supports councils and their community partners to develop sustainable local graffiti clean-up responses and is part of the Victorian Government’s $4.5m 2009–11 Graffiti Prevention and Removal Strategy (see Victoria’s Graffiti Management in the right-hand menus for further information).

This is the third round of grants to local councils.  The grants focus on graffiti clean-up in neighborhoods to help to improve feelings of safety in the community and reduce the fear of crime, at the same time support the building of friendly, confident and safe communities as highlighted in Growing Victoria Together: A Vision for Victoria to 2010 and Beyond.

Applications must be received at graffiti@justice.vic.gov.au by no later than 2:00pm Friday 9 October 2009.  Further details about the application process are available from 2009-10 Graffiti Grants Application Process (see "Related Pages" in the right-hand menus).
