Problem Gambling
Taking action on problem gambling is a five year strategy that sets out, for the first time, a broad framework to guide the development and implementation of the government's strategy to combat problem gambling in Victoria.
The strategy outlines the actions and initiatives to the total of $132.3 million that the government is putting in place between 2006-07 and 2010-11. It is an integrated approach to consumer protection and to the prevention, early intervention and treatment of problem gambling.
This initiative also commits the government to a coordinated, systematic and evidence-based approach to combating the effects of problem gambling.
Taking action on problem gambling consists of:
- Taking action on problem gambling - a strategy for combating problem in Victoria the five year strategy document
- Taking action on problem gambling - regional caps a supplement outlining the government's new regional caps policy and response to the recommendations of the Regional Electronic Gaming Machine Caps Review Panel.
