Problem Gambling Community Awareness and Education Strategy
The Problem Gambling Community Awareness and Education Strategy (the Strategy) is outlined in the Taking Action on Problem Gambling Ministerial Statement as a key initiative of Action Area 3: Promoting Healthy Communities.
The Strategy has been developed to provide strategic direction on delivering preventative messages to the broad community and target populations about the risks of problem gambling, to promote awareness of help options and encourage help seeking behaviour, and to reduce the stigma associated with problem gambling. It is informed by an evidence based social marketing approach to achieve change in community attitudes, gambling and help seeking behaviour.
