Taking Action on Problem Gambling - Progress Report

Taking action on problem gambling is a five year strategy that sets out, for the first time, a comprehensive framework to guide the development and implementation of the Government’s strategy to combat problem gambling in Victoria.

The strategy provides funding of $132.3 million over five years from 2006-07 to 2010-11 to deliver an integrated approach to consumer protection and to the prevention, early intervention and treatment of problem gambling.

Taking action on problem gambling consists of:

  • Taking action on problem gambling: A strategy for combating problem gambling in Victoria – the five year strategy document
  • Taking action on problem gambling: Regional caps a supplement outlining the Government’s new regional caps policy and response to the recommendations of the Regional Electronic Gaming Machine Caps Review Panel.

These achievements are outlined in Taking action on problem gambling. Progress report 2006/07.  A link to this report is provided below.
