Research into Health Promotion and Best Practice Services for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities

This report, released in December 2005, contains findings and broad recommendations which will be used to develop future directions for problem gambling service delivery and health promotion activities for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

This report was commissioned as part of Victoria's Integrated Problem Gambling Strategy, which aims to address the health, social and economic impacts resulting from excessive gambling.

The two objectives for this research project were to:

• examine and review current approaches to health promotion and service delivery for CALD communities to explore best practice models
• provide broad recommendations for the development of new and existing problem gambling programs and services for CALD communities in Victoria.
