Responsible Gambling Education
Most people enjoy gambling without letting it control their lives. Some people, however, gamble excessively and cannot approach it simply as a form of enjoyment.
The Government recognises the risks associated with gambling excessively and is working with the community, industry, employers and employees to foster an environment of responsible gambling. Responsible Gambling Awareness Week is running from May 25 to May 31.
These pages will help increase awareness and education about responsible gambling. They provide access to educational resources as well as information on how to get help.
A gambler, or someone close to a gambler, will be able to:
- Better understand gambling and the odds of winning
- Identify the motivations for gambling
- Assess whether you, an employee, colleague, friend or relative may be at risk with their gambling
- Find out where to get help.
