Prisoners with Disabilities Research

As part of its commitment to develop differentiated approaches for key groups, Corrections Victoria is focusing on the needs of offenders with a disability, so that recidivism is better addressed and community safety enhanced.
The result is the Corrections Victoria Disability Framework 2007-2009, a strategic plan to address barriers and pursue equal access to services for offenders with a disability.
To build on the current service system, Corrections Victoria has developed an evidence base including conducting its own research.
