Getting there - car

From Melbourne, take the Western Highway and continue on this road until you see a 'Beaufort 10km' sign. Shortly after this sign you will go down a steep hill that has a speed reduction sign to 90km as you enter the township of Trawalla.

Langi Kal Kal Prison is sign posted to the right immediately after the service station/truck stop. Follow the road for about 1km until you reach the gates.

Getting there - public transport

Visitors should check timetable and reservation requirements for train and bus services with V-Line on tel: 136 196. A visitor courtesy service operates in conjunction with V-Line services on weekends. 

Saturday - visitors are picked up at the front gate of the prison at 10.30am. Visitors depart the prison at 15.30pm and are transported to the Beaufort Railway Station to meet the train which departs at 16.11pm.

Sunday - visitors are picked up at the front gate of the prison at 10.35am. Visitors depart the prison at 15.30pm and are transported to the Beaufort Railway Station to meet the train which departs at 16.03pm.
