Getting there

The Melbourne Assessment Prison is located in the Melbourne Central Business District at the corner of Spencer and La Trobe Streets, West Melbourne.

The prison is 250 metres north of the Southern Cross (formerly Spencer Street) Station, and is also serviced by trams travelling along Spencer and La Trobe Streets.
