Funds in Court Review

In October 2005, the Victorian Government initiated a review into the operations of the Senior Master's (Funds in Court) Office operates. The Office administers money recovered in legal proceedings on behalf of people with a legal disability.

In December 2005, the Attorney-General announced that the administration of funds would remain with the Senior Master's Office, based on the review's preliminary findings. The review identified improvements needed in:

  • governance
  • risk management
  • transparency
  • reporting.

The consultation process has now been completed. For more information on the consultation, download the Funds in Court Consultation Paper or the Court Administration and Funds Management Strategy.
