Road Safety Research and Evidence
The Victorian Government develops and implements research-based road safety initiatives in partnership with the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC).
MUARC is one of the world’s leading injury prevention research centres and has been a key contributor to positioning the state as a world leader in injury prevention, particularly in road safety.
In addition to the primary relationship with MUARC, Victoria’s road safety agencies are also in regular contact with recognised road safety experts worldwide. The Department of Justice maintains working level contacts with a number of overseas institutes and experts.
