Employing Someone to Work with Children
When recruiting people to work or volunteer with children, it is important to understand that the Working with Children (WWC) Check is one safety mechanism and does not replace good recruitment, selection, supervision and training of staff.
If you employ a WWC Check card holder you are still required to undertake a selection process and reference checking to determine that person’s suitability for the specific role.
