Giving False or Misleading Information
Under sections 39(1) and 39(2) of the Working with Children Act 2005, you must not give false or misleading information:
- in, or in relation to, a Working with Children Check application
- in connection with a re-assessment of a person’s eligibility to have an Assessment Notice.
The maximum penalty for this offence is two years imprisonment, a fine of 240 penalty units ($26,428.80), or both.
