A 14-day quarantine period is mandatory for returning overseas travellers

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Everyone entering Victoria must follow this rule, including people:

  • arriving by ship (maritime arrivals)
  • intending to travel via Victoria to another Australian state or territory
  • intending to travel overseas via Victoria.
