Welcome to the Department of Justice
The Department of Justice includes police; courts; corrections; emergency services; regulation of gaming, racing, liquor licensing and trade measurement; and victims' services. The department also drafts legislation and administers various tribunals and programs to protect citizens' rights.
Ministerial portfolios within the Department of Justice include Police and Emergency Services, the Attorney General, Bushfire Response, Corrections, Crime Prevention, Gaming, Racing, Consumer Affairs and the establishment of an anti-corruption commission.
